The citation read: Mr Loyd has been the British Hospitaller over the last seven years, during which time he has actively supported the development of the Foreign Aid Service of the British Association and the development of its international partner Malteser International. He has dedicated significant time and effort to building an understanding in Britain for the work of Malteser International and how best it can be supported. He directly has supported numerous appeals including those for Tsunami, Lebanon and Peru.
