Disabled Youth Camp

In Romania the Order runs a summer camp for disabled children. It aims to give disabled children - who otherwise have little or no access to nature and outdoors activities - a holiday experience and integrate them with children of their own age.

This year a total of about 70 people attended: 20-30 disabled children and 30+ helpers aged 16-25.

The entire week costs £1,500 to run..

Meals on Wheels

Many pensioners in Romania, who relied on their state pensions, now only receive a 10th of the average monthly salary. Many beg to stay alive. The Order runs a meals-on-wheels service for these people in Cluj. The project is staffed by volunteers, and aims to raise these people’s standard of living to “subsistence”.

The project also actively seeks material and food donations both locally and from partner organizations.

The project has been feeding 25 people every day for seven years, and needs £5,000 to run annually
